Blood, Sweat and Tears can teach every musician how not to read the industry well and shoot itself in the foot. Instead of riding their popular support of the late 60s, having released two albums, the second one in 1969 to great success, including a Grammy for album of the year, Blood, Sweat and Tears went on a US Department of State-sponsored tour of Eastern Europe, leaving behind their American hippy fan base who did not look positively at the band's association with the government.
